**Please read this important information before downloading the 7.0 Updates**

Some fundamental changes have been introduced in CADPIPE 7.0, please take time to read the following in order to have an understanding of some of the major changes.

1) Updating from earlier versions of CADPIPE: HVAC, PIPE, Building Services and 3D Design all require that older drawings have their data updated to the new format designed for the 7.0 version. This updating takes place automatically when you load drawings from earlier versions of CADPIPE. However, Frozen and Locked layers may cause problems when Updating these drawings.

Please be sure that all Frozen layers are Thawed, and Locked layers are Unlocked in these drawings.

2) Groups: CADPIPE 7.0 now uses AutoCAD's Groups to group items with their associated pieces (Text, Tag ballons, etc.). This allows the use of all AutoCAD edit commands (erase, move, copy, rotate, etc.) to be used with CADPIPE items. In order to edit individual items within the group (text, tags, etc.)commands can be found using the Shift-Right Click sequence. The user will have a menu appear which contains custom commands to help them in erasing, copying, moving and rotating individual pieces of the grouped items. Also, a quick-key command is in place from the command line for this custom version of the erase command: EE. If any other editing commands are needed for individual pieces of grouped items, temporarily turning off PICKSTYLE (setting it to 0), will allow for selection of any of the individual pieces.

3) The new grouping functionality in CADPIPE 7.0 also allows the user to utilize GRIP's with in AutoCAD. By selecting a CADPIPE object the user will see GRIPS at text and object insertion points. Use these grips to move, copy, rotate or erase any of the objects individually. For complete explanation of how to use AutoCAD Grips please review the AutoCAD help files.
