CADPIPE 9.0 Service Pack 3 Update Release Notes

CADPIPE HVAC:

New: Added options for Elevation annotation so that "Top of Duct" "Bottom of Duct" or "Both" may be placed on the drawing (previously, Both was the only option).

New: Added option in Rect and Rnd Config dialog boxes for Double-Wall (DW) Duct/Fittings. No graphic changes or joint differences will be shown or reported. This is simply for reporting purposes, especially on the Fabrication side of things. All Fab reports (including Vulcan and Vicon) will report items as DW if they were placed with the toggle ON.

New: Batch collision has been greatly improved. It is now faster and will show time required to do check. Also the view dialog has been changed to show different color for each colliding item.

Fix: Reporting: Lining wasn’t producing consistent results. Even though all duct in a dwg might be lined, the reports would show some as lined and some not.

Fix: When Tag, Text, Lining or Wrapper layers were set to “Use System”, the duct layer was used (as it should be) but it was always set to color as white.

Fix: Vista 64bit: Backup and Restore of databases was crashing.

Fix: ISOLATE command (also Collision viewing in Batch and Runtime Collision Checking): AutoCAD 2004-2006: Corrected ShadeMode settings were not being shown correctly. AutoCAD 2007-2009: Adjusted to show VisualStyle settings (not the old ShadeMode settings).

Fix: Updating specs to 9.0 formats would leave all Default lengths with no value for every gauge listed in the specs.

CADPIPE Commercial Pipe:

New: Added a new Spec field to specify the engagement database to be used for this system/size combo.

New: Added a new Spec field to specify the Annotation Layer and Color to be used for that spec.  To change the color of either the Fitting Layer or Annotation Layer, simply click in the colored box.

New: Added the ability to specify the Routing Line Layer and Color.  Pipelayers.ini now has an entry under the [Defaults] heading that reads “RL=CPRT,4”.  The user may change the layer and/or color for the routing line.

New: Batch collision has been greatly improved. It is now faster and will show time required to do check. Also the view dialog has been changed to show different color for each colliding item.

Fix: When joining to Blk-Steel-Welded Pipe and placing a Slip-on Flange, the program no longer crashes.

Fix: When placing Ductile Iron Flange Pipe, an extra piece of pipe is no longer drawn.

Fix: When Autoroutine with a Double Quarter Bend, the fitting is nowsquare.

Procedure for loading Spec’s in Commercial Pipe SP3:

    1. After you load SP3 go to the PipeDbs folder under C:\CP90\Commercial.

    2. Delete the CommSysSpecs.db and sysspecs.db files.

    3. Copy and paste your backed up sysspecs.db file into the PipeDbs folder.

    4. Go into Commercial Pipe and your spec’s are loaded.

CADPIPE Electrical:

New: The ability to "ungroup" or separate the text from conduit, Cable Trays, etc. so that the text can deleted or moved the text accordingly.

New: Batch collision has been greatly improved. It is now faster and will show time required to do check. Also the view dialog has been changed to show different color for each colliding item.

Fix: Fixed issues with backing up and restoring databases/slide libs with 64 bit Vista.

CADPIPE Industrial ISO:

Fix: Red. Elbows did not run through Autoiso.

Fix: The “Edit Shop/Field” command did not work. Querying the fittings afterwards showed that the Shop setting hadn’t changed at all.

Fix: Bom-to-Dwg, and as a result AutoBalloon, gave bad results when pieces from one ISO dwg were brought into another. The destination dwg (as in when a user is trying to create a system ISO) would end up giving the same balloon number to unlike items.
