ArtrA Asset Management

ArtrA is a unique Asset management solution that links 3D CAD models, design data, and documentation. ArtrA gives the owner-operator the opportunity to manage all plant information easily and cost effectively. The 3D model can be used as the central point to link and access any documentation to items in the 3D model. Any linked data can also be searched quickly and easily to provide critical information that would not be readily available in other formats.

ArtrA's primary functions are Searching, Linking, Tagging, and Reporting.

 

ArtrA helps O&M staff manage, understand, and retrieve information about their facility. Anything in the 3D model can be searched for such as piping, instrumentation, equipment, vessels, etc.

Search Model Attributes

Every piping, equipment & instrument item in an intelligent 3D model holds information as a series of attributes. ArtrA displays this information when the cursor hovers over an item.

Petrochemical and Building services models contain comprehensive information from catalogues e.g. 3” | 90 degree elbow | copper | socket weld | 150# | line number | system name

ArtrA uses these attributes for Plant Asset Management.

Any number of search requests can be made and saved; some are straight-forward such as “find all pumps on the project”

Others drill down into the data such as find all ¾” sprinkler heads, manufactured by Ultra Suppression Systems Ltd, supplied & installed by Fire Protection Services Ltd, floor 1, in area A1 of the plant.

Search results appear in a list and are graphically highlighted in the 3D viewer where they can be isolated or the surrounding context turned transparent.



Linking Documents to Model

Individual or groups of documents can be linked manually item by item - but its more efficient to link a group of documents to the results of a (drill-down) search

For example O&M staff can automatically link a group of documents to all Vessels by running a search and then dragging and dropping documents from the library onto the results list.

ArtrA’s DMS Librarian manages the documents by their properties (author, date etc.) and categories (O&M, isometric, weld report, defects etc.)

ArtrA Tags

ArtrA’s tag feature offers immense power and flexibility for adding searchable properties to a model.

An unlimited number of tags, with an unlimited number of properties can be linked to items in a 3D model simply by dragging and dropping them onto the results of an ArtrA search.

Use tags to turn ‘unintelligent’ 3D models with few attributes into an intelligent BIM for CAFM.

ArtrA tags & forms are created on the fly & can contain any type of data.
