CADPIPE Commercial Pipe

CADPIPE Commercial Pipe Provides mechanical contractors with the ultimate mechanical drafting tool. This AutoCAD based program has a full range of materials, connection types, and fittings for plumbing, pressure, waste, and copper pipe.

Automatic Pipe Placement

The Automatic Routing Line feature enables you to lay out runs and pipe them instantly. Draw a simple polyline representing the centerline of a pipe run, then place components, Auto-Elbow and Auto-Pipe the line.

The Auto-Route feature automatically places runs of pipe horizontally and vertically with a turn or bend in the pipe.

Automatically Generate Materials Reports

Create reports for pipes, valves, and fittings which include default lengths, cut lengths, material type, schedule, connection type and specifications for each item. Reports can be exported to MS Excel and Access databases.

User-defined Specifications

CADPIPE can be driven by an unlimited number of user-defined specifications and comes with over 30 common commercial system specifications. The system type, connection type, material, schedule, fittings, slope, engagements, and default lengths for all pipe are controlled by these specs. CADPIPE uses the information in the specification database to draw the pipe, changing the materials and connections as the pipe size changes. Your drawing will represent the pipe system as it will be fabricated and installed.

Automatic ISO Fabrication Drawings

Automatically extract fabrication drawings from your model. A single 3D model can be used to create all scaled plans, sections, elevations, and details with ease.

Collision Warning and Correction

CADPIPE has two collision checking features which examine any area or the entire model for error free designs. Interactive Collision Checking looks for interference with 3d objects as the pipe system is being drawn. Batch Collision Checking examines your model at the end of the drawing session.

Architectural Functions

The architectural features available in Commercial Pipe include 3D columns, structural beams, joists, walls, lights, and more. These items can be sized and placed in your drawing in order to ensure accurate placement of pipe and fittings. Commercial Pipe also contains beam databases for channel, angle, hollow, T-beams, I-beams, and user-defined beams.

3 Drawing Modes

Draw in solid, mesh, or single line. Solids enable you to generate clean, double-line presentations of pipe in any view, making it easy to create scaled plans, sections, elevations, and details from one 3D model.
