User-Defined Specifications

CADPIPE Electrical gives you to complete control over circuitry, cable tray, and conduit specifications. Choose a system and CADPIPE automatically selects the correct settings and draws the circuitry, cable tray, conduit, and fittings as defined by the specifications database.

User-Controlled Symbol Libraries

CADPIPE Electrical offers a large library of symbols including: control drawings, s/l diagrams, wiring devices, layout drawings and general symbols. These libraries include many commonly used symbols and are completely customizable. You can quickly add and edit custom symbols.

Collision Warning & Correction

CADPIPE offers two collision checking features, which examine any area or the entire model for error free designs. Interactive Collision Checking looks for interference with 3D objects as the Cable Tray or Conduit system is being drawn. Batch Collision Checking examines your model at the end of the drawing session.

Automatic Conduit/Cable Tray Placement

The Automatic Routing Line feature enables you to lay out Conduit/Cable Tray runs instantly by drawing a poly line.
The Auto-Route feature automatically places runs of Conduit/Cable Trays horizontally and vertically, with a turn or bend.

Generate Materials Reports

CADPIPE Electrical quickly generates complete Bill of Materials reports for Conduit, Cable Trays, Wires and Components. These reports include default length, cut length, fittings, components and wire reports. Electrical reports can be sorted by symbol, circuit, voltage, gauge, as well as straight Conduit/Cable Trays and Conduit/Cable Tray fittings. All reports can be printed, saved, and exported to word processing or spreadsheet programs.

Annotate Drawings

CADPIPE Electrical allows you to annotate your drawing. Simply query CADPIPE's intelligent objects (Conduit, Cable Tray, etc), select the appropriate annotation button and drop the annotation text onto the sheet automatically.

Architectural Functions

The architectural features available in CADPIPE Electrical include 3D columns, structural beams, joists, walls, lights, and more. These items can be sized and placed in your drawing in order to ensure accurate placement of pipe and fittings. Commercial Pipe also contains beam databases for channel, angle, hollow, T-beams, I-beams, and user-defined beams.
