CADPIPE HVAC

CADPIPE HVAC provides contractors with the ultimate mechanical drafting tool. This AutoCAD based program has a full range of rectangular, oval, and round fittings. CADPIPE HVAC contains an imperial database based on SMACNA standards and a metric database based on British standards.

Download to Plasma Cutters

CADPIPE HVAC fitting and straight duct reports download to the most popular Plasma Cutting Tables using e-mail, network connections or floppy/CD. The Plasma Cutting Table Fabrication software automatically calls up these reports and processes them for immediate fabrication.

The report information is generated automatically from the CADPIPE HVAC system specifications. The sketcher draws the duct and CADPIPE's HVAC intelligence knows when to adjust gauge, joints, seams reinforcement, etc. whenever duct systems, sizes, types or other things change.

Automatically Generate Materials Reports

CADPIPE HVAC quickly generates complete Bill of Materials reports for HVAC straights, fittings, and all accessory items. The HVAC reports include default length, cut length, and fitting reports. The accessory reports include all accessory items and can be sorted by system number or area. A unique job number can be added to the report and all reports can be sent to word processing or spreadsheet programs.

Automatic Section Views/Spools

CADPIPE HVAC's sectioning tools instantly create dynamically linked plans and section views at any scale from a single drawing. All drafted output can be generated from one 3D model.

Intelligent Accessories

The CADPIPE Accessory feature creates customized accessory items to be used in your design. Complete company or individual job accessory libraries can be created quickly and automatically. Air devices, access doors, dampers, VAV boxes, fan units, and more are automatically constructed from user defined dimensions and attributes.

User-defined Specifications

CADPIPE HVAC is compliant with SMACNA specifications for system type, gauges, joints, and gaskets, as well as the default lengths for the rectangular, round, or oval systems. Within each system, you can specify different gauges or joints for different sizes of duct and the system automatically selects the proper items as the size changes. Choose a system and CADPIPE automatically selects the correct settings and draws the duct or fittings as defined by the specifications database.

Collision Warning and Correction

CADPIPE offers two collision checking features, which examine any area or the entire model for error free designs. Interactive Collision Checking looks for interference with 3D objects as the HVAC system is being drawn. Batch Collision Checking examines your model at the end of the drawing session.

See the Interactive Collision Checking function in action.

Automatic Duct Placement

The Auto-Route feature automatically places or connects runs of duct horizontally and vertically. The angle needed and maximum default lengths are calculated for you, simply specify the start point and end point. In addition, CADPIPE automatically routes flex duct, round pipe, or rectangular duct from any takeoff or tap into any air device.

Annotate Drawings

CADPIPE HVAC allows you to annotate your drawing. Simply query CADPIPE's intelligent objects (duct, fittings, etc), select the appropriate annotation button and drop the annotation text onto the sheet automatically.
