CADPIPE Building Services 2002 (6.6) Upgrade Release
Notes
The following items are included in this upgrade:
- AutoCAD 2002 & Architectural Desktop 3.3 compatible.
- New directory structure allows greater flexibility.
- Architectural Desktop objects are now detected when duct and pipe collides
with them.
- Metric pipe sizes can now use standard metric nominal sizes instead of
conversion of imperial nominal sizes.
- New interface to NavisWorks. Enables CADPIPE intelligence to be carried
into NavisWorks when viewing a CADPIPE model.
- Pipe and duct reports now save with a .txt extension instead of an .rpt
Makes finding and importing reports much easier.
- The ability to "Browse" for a location to backup and restore specs, databases,
etc.
- Improved functionality for selecting which routing line to place a fitting
on when more than one routing line is in the selection set.
- The ability to edit the system and category on an existing routing line
(This will not update any existing fittings on the routing line).
- The Stretch command now works with solid pipe.
- When using a "Flanged" system, the flanges will no longer report separately,
but will be included in the length of the pipe.
- Both flanges in a "Flanged" system will now be erased when the pipe is
erased.
- You can now auto-route with a fire damper to an Architectural Desktop
wall.
- Walls, beams, and columns are now placed as AutoCAD solids. This will
enable users to cut holes in these objects (sleeves, doors, windows, etc.)
and use other solid editing tools.
- New "Custom Inline" fitting. You can now place a generic, user defined
inline fitting that will label and report as what you specify.
- Taps will be automatically sized to the diffuser neck when you choose
the "Auto-Route to Diffuser" or "Align With Diffuser" option.
- 3D solid representation of flex duct. Both "Solid" and "Single Line" are
now CADPIPE objects and can be automatically placed on separate layers.
