CADPIPE Commercial Pipe 2002 6.6 Update
The following items are included in this upgrade:
- AutoCAD 2002 and Architectural Desktop 3.3 compatible.
- The ability to toggle between Commercial Pipe and HVAC without exiting
AutoCAD.
- New directory structure allows greater flexibility.
- Database and Specification files can now be placed on a network and shared
by multiple users.
- Users can now setup job specific database and specification files without
copying and pasting multiple files to multiple workstations.
- Pipe size databases have been opened up to allow users to specify any
pipe size.
- Metric pipe sizes can now use standard metric nominal sizes instead of
conversion of imperial nominal sizes.
- Pipe lengths for waste pipe are now user defined (Pipe Length Override).
- Hub dimensions on DWV - With Hub are now user definable.
- The flange database has been opened up to allow users to define all dimensions
of flanges.
- The olet database has been opened up to allow users to define the size
range, dimension, type, and class of olets.
- New interface to NavisWorks. Enables CADPIPE intelligence to be carried
into NavisWorks when viewing a CADPIPE model.
- Beams, columns, and walls can now be placed as AutoCAD solids.
- Pipe and Label reports now save with a .txt extension instead of an .rpt
Makes finding and importing reports much easier.
- The ability to "Browse" for a location to backup and restore specs, databases,
etc.
- Improved functionality for selecting which routing line to place a fitting
on when more than one is in the selection set.
- The ability to edit the system and category on an existing routing line
(This will not update any existing fittings on the routing line).
- When using a "Flanged" system, the flanges no longer report separately,
but are included in the length of the pipe.
- Both flanges in a "Flanged" system are now erased when the pipe is erased.
- Walls, beams, and columns are now placed as AutoCAD solids. This will
enable users to cut holes in these objects (sleeves, doors, windows, etc.)
and use other solid editing tools.
- Architectural Desktop objects are now detected when pipe collides with
them.
The following issues from Commercial Pipe 5.502 have
been resolved:
- Solid adapters are now being placed on the correct spec layer.
- The size text now remains when converting pipe (mesh-solid-single line).
- The node on a flanged reducing tee is now placed at the correct location.
- Stretch now works with solid pipe.
- Corrected issue with single line Iso (Iso Pipe command) where the cut
length reported was incorrect. This only occurred immediately after a 45
deg. elbow.
- Corrected issue with 3" X 1 ½" Sanitary Tee not modeling correctly.
- Resolved issue of screen flashing when a piece of pipe is placed while
"Collision Check" is turned on.
- Resolved issue with Combo Wye & 1/8th Bend drawing pipe in the wrong direction.
- Using the "CADPIPE Copy" to copy fittings using an osnap as a basepoint
and second point now functions correctly.
- Corrected modeling issue with Auto-routing using a "Sanitary Tee" as the
turning fitting.
- Corrected issue with label function. Sometimes the origin of the leader
on the label would originate at a the wrong location.
- Using "gaskets" with a "Flanged" system now reports the correct lengths.
- Corrected issues with sloped systems and "Fitting Conversion". No longer
changes elbow and branch orientation when converted from mesh to solid,
etc.
- Corrected issue with the CADPIPE Copy command causing an "Unhandled Exception"
to occur when a piece of pipe was copied containing associated text placed
by the "Query" command.
- Corrected issue with node placement on "Tees" that are placed "by center".
- Resolved issue with Victaulic cut lengths where the gaps were being subtracted
from pipe length that was input via the keyboard.
