CADPIPE HVAC 2002 6.6 Upgrade Release Notes

The following items are included in this upgrade:

  1. AutoCAD 2002 & Architectural Desktop 3.3 compatible.
  2. Architectural Desktop objects are now detected when duct collides with them.
  3. You can now auto-route with a fire damper to Architectural Desktop walls.
  4. The ability to toggle between HVAC and Commercial Pipe without exiting AutoCAD, this new directory structure allows greater flexibility.
  5. Walls, beams, and columns are now placed as AutoCAD solids. This will enable users to cut holes in these objects (sleeves, doors, windows, etc.) and use other solid editing tools.
  6. New "Custom Inline" fitting. You can now place a generic, user defined inline fitting that will label and report as what you specify.
  7. Grilles, "Registers", "Louvers", "Diffusers", etc can now be "Joined To" using the CADPIPE "Join To A Run" command. This will only be possible with "Grilles", etc. that are created with 6.5.02 and later releases.
  8. New HVAC "Help". Can be accessed from either the "CP Tools" pull down menu or the "Edit" toolbar.
  9. Reports now save with a .txt extension instead of an .rpt. Makes finding and importing reports much easier.
  10. Taps will be automatically sized to the diffuser neck when you choose the "Auto-Route to Diffuser" or "Align With Diffuser" option.
  11. 3D solid representation of flex duct. Both "Solid" and "Single Line" are now CADPIPE objects and can be automatically placed on separate layers.
The following issues from CADPIPE HVAC 5.502 have been resolved:
  1. Improved functionality with solid flat oval duct.

  8. Resolved issue with returning to horizontal from a rolled left-turn 90 deg. elbow.
  9. Spec now retains setting when you "Join To" a Spin Collar.
