CADPIPE Industrial 6.6 Update Release Notes
The following items are included in this upgrade:
All Industrial modules now recognize additional databases
for large and small bore piping. Supplied are ANSI Small Bore (A/AS,a/AS)
and ANSI Large Bore (E/AL,e/AL) databases. Recognized, but noy supplied are
Small Bore DIN (g/DS) and Large Bore DIN (h/DL). These are available for user
customization.
3D Design
- Flanged Reducing Elbows correctly calculate Face-to-Center dimensions.
- Vertical up or down placement of nozzles has been corrected.
- No longer places unions using the dimension of the last fitting placed.
- Fixed problem with turning a sloped elbow up using the fitting dialog
box.
- Batch UDE in was only processing the first file in the list.
- Fixed custom layers to allow a '*' as the default layer and color. When
this is chosen, The current layer will be used for fittings, nodes and text.
Routing line layer will default to "CPRT" if a '*' is set in the defaults
section.
- Corrected issues with Reducing Flanges.
- This update fixes a sporadic problem which caused an Unhandled Exception
when joining to the face of a slip-on flange.
- Edited Batch Collision detection for: a) Allowing for detection of ADT
Objects and b) As per Run-Time Collision detection, with some ADT Objects
(most noteable Spheres and Domes) caused Unhandled Detection errors when
these objects were in another viewport AND SHADED. Now, the viewing of collisions
forces a Single viewport, allows the user to rotate and zoom the collision
view, as it always has, and then returns to the previous viewport configuration.
- The Stretch command in Windows 2000 no longer locks up AutoCAD.
- Opening a drawing located more than 5 levels down in a directory structure
no longer produces an "Unhandled Exception" error.
CADPIPE Isometric
- Selecting another Database now resets all values to match the new string
tables correctly. Also, the gasket settings are now correctly updated. Prior
to this, the incorrect values were sometimes crashing the dialog box, causing
problems in placing flanged items.
- Iso load procedure has been modified to improve spec on startup.
- Selecting a Database now only displays currently installed databases in
the drop list window, not necessarily all available databases.
- CDF output of BOM was reporting that the input file (dwgname.bom) could
not be opened, and the cdf file was not properly created. This has been
corrected.
- Corrected a problem where Ortho and Iso were no longer finding specs in
PROJ directories.
- When placing a branch, there were instances where the routing line selection
screen did not automatically disappear once the selection was made. This
has been corrected.
CADPIPE P&ID
- The bom report has been updated to add the End Types for Control Valves.
A correction has been made to the bom output for Fittings as well - removing
the rating and tag field which weren't being used. This has also been done
for the Global Bom.
- DataLink - Corrected problem with deleted items that weren't being properly
recorded in the Data and Audit Tables.
- Corrected reported problem with BOM where an Unhandled Exception Error
was being generated.
- Changes to how we report errors that were previously causing fatal or
corrupt AutoCad entities in extreme circumstances.
CADPIPE Ortho
- Selecting a Database now only displays currently installed databases
in the drop list window, not necessarily all available databases.
- Corrected a problem that was introduced with 6.5.01 Ortho: double line
piping was not breaking correctly. This affected the placement of pipe breaks,
insulation symbols and stub-ins.
- Corrected a problem where Ortho and Iso were no longer finding specs in
PROJ directories.
Spec Gen
- The Copy-To dialogue box was not allowing multiple selections for sizes.
- Corrected a typo in cpspec when you initialized a Double Taper Spacer
under Inlines. It appeared in the des file as an IPU- rather than an 8PU-.
Project Manager
- Adding a project under a main project no longer limits the directory name
to 8 characters.
- New Project, Copy Drawing and Move Drawing now use the standard Windows
"Browse for Folder" dialogue box.
